Hi there,

Today, we’re announcing a new browser extension to automatically add far more full-text papers to your Systematic Reviews. With this extension, you can spend less time downloading full-text PDFs from publisher websites to extract in Elicit – we’ll get the papers for you.

If you have institutional access, Elicit can now use your active logins (or your university proxy e.g. EZProxy) to add hundreds of full-text papers from journals like Wiley, Springer, and IEEE to your Systematic Reviews in seconds. Your credentials never leave your device.

If you don’t have institutional access, this extension still adds, on average, 30 percentage points more full-text papers to the extraction step of your Systematic Reviews (among the papers added by Elicit search earlier in the “Paper sources” step).

You can also use this extension to enrich your Elicit Reports with more full-text papers. While Elicit won’t enrich a Report by default, you can click the “Extraction Results” page on a completed report and Elicit will begin fetching full-text papers. Click “Generate report” after to add those full-text extractions to your report.

As before, only Pro, Team, and Enterprise users can access Elicit Systematic Reviews and edit Reports. With this extension, these users can now access the highest full-text coverage of any systematic review tool today. We hope you’ll try it out!
