Hello! We have been working on improving the quality of our data extraction columns. Answers in regular mode are now 15% more accurate than before.

We also improved Elicit’s ability to extract answers from paper tables. For papers where the answer to a column is only found in tables, not in the main text, the accuracy gain is 21%.

Remember that to extract data from tables within papers, you must have an Elicit Plus subscription and activate the high-accuracy mode by clicking on the target-shaped button at the top of a column.

In addition, when you click on a cell to see supporting quotes, the quotes are now reordered so that the most relevant ones are shown first. This is especially important when there are many quotes, allowing you to more quickly determine if an answer is supported.

In this example, you can see that the first quote (1 of 6) supports the answer more directly than the 5th one:

With both better accuracy and quote support, it’s now easier than ever to vet Elicit’s answers as you screen papers or extract data.
