Hi there,

We recently announced Elicit Reports: fully-automated research overviews for actual researchers, inspired by systematic reviews. We think they provide the best research overviews for actual researchers -- better than other "Deep Research" tools.

Today I’d like to announce our blog post describing the methodology and data behind that claim.

In short, we asked 17 PhD-level professional researchers (in fields such as neuroscience, ecology, speech therapy, and economics) to compare Elicit to competitors in their area of expertise. They graded nearly 150 reports across tools:

They also estimated how many hours the tool would save them when writing a systematic review.

Check out the blog post to see more, including:

  • Quantitative comparisons on accuracy, usefulness, and citation support
  • Qualitative impressions
  • Limitations of our evaluation
