Good research is transparent. At Elicit, we think AI tools should be too.

That’s why, unlike opaque AI chatbots, Elicit Reports (like this one) function like rapid reviews, with separate search, screening, and extraction steps that you can understand and edit. In this email, I’ll show you how to edit and improve your reports.

If you want to add an additional paper to your report, click “Edit” next to “Gather papers”. Then click “Add from Library” or “Upload PDFs”.

You can also change the criteria Elicit uses to screen papers in/out of a report on the “Screening criteria” page.

You can override the screening decision for an individual paper (without changing screening criteria for all papers) on the “Screening recommendations” page.

You can also edit which information Elicit extracts from papers and includes in the report by clicking “Extraction definition”, then “Edit” on a column.

Note: Currently only Elicit Pro/Team/Enterprise users can edit reports.

We hope this helps you produce rigorous reports. If you end up with a report you like, feel free to click “Share” in the top right of the screen and send it our way!
