Hi there,

Shahid from Elicit here.

Today I’m excited to announce a case study on how a German policy consulting firm, VDI/VDE-IT, uses Elicit to bring more evidence to German education policy. Hopefully this gives you a concrete and inspiring example of how Elicit can help your research.

Before using Elicit, VDI/VDE-IT had limited capacity to conduct systematic reviews, the gold standard of evidence preferred by policymakers. Veit Wasserfuhr, Consultant, said, “In a normal industry systematic literature review, it’s typically impossible to closely analyze more than 50-100 papers manually.”

That’s changed: VDI/VDE-IT recently used Elicit to scale up a systematic review on educational interventions from 50 to 550 papers without sacrificing quality. They checked Elicit’s results vs. expert manual extraction and found Elicit was 99.4% accurate.

Now, VDI/VDE-IT is exploring using Elicit for even more ambitious projects, such as analyzing trends in the abstracts of more than 50,000 papers.

Thanks,

Shahid
